In order to provide a more structured pathway into speedway racing for Pee Wee/ and junior entry level riders, the SMCWA executive committee, in consultation with relevant rider representatives has reviewed the class structure and names for this year.
Pee Wee:
4 – U9 years. Entry level class to introduce riders to basic concepts of speedway in a non competitive fun format.
50cc competitive:
7 – U9 years. Competitive class to introduce young riders to speedway rules and concepts. Production bikes that best meet progression to solo racing.
Note: Bike specifications have changed from last year. (Maximum 10” front wheel)
Lites Competitive
7 – U12 years. This class is for bikes that do not meet 50cc Competitive class specifications.
Note: Bike specifications have changed from last year. (Solo lites is the SMCWA’s preferred option for riders in this class)
