It is Easy! Go to our online registration SITE HERE via Ridernet.

There are different types of memberships available and you don’t have to be a competitor to join. Take advantage of the Associate membership that will enable you to enjoy a season of full throttle racing as a spectator or the Volunteer membership if you would like help out at the venue or at a committee level, there are always ways to help. (Contact the President for further information)

Memberships run from 1st August to 31 July, our current fees are as follows:

  • Compete at SMCWA race events ($50 nomination fee applies)
  • Attend official SMCWA practice sessions. ($20 – $30 nomination fee applies).
  • Entry to all SMCWA promoted Club and Premium events (member card must be presented)
  • Entry to pits when acting as mechanic
  • Voting rights

Senior Sidecar Passenger

 

  • Compete at SMCWA race events as passenger (no nomination fee applies)
  • Attend official SMCWA practice sessions as passenger (no nomination fee applies).
  • Entry to all SMCWA promoted Club and Premium events (member card must be presented)
  • Entry to pits when acting as mechanic
  • Voting rights.

Junior Family 1 Rider (under 16)

  • 1 junior competitor, 2 parents / guardians and non-riding siblings under 16.
  • Compete at SMCWA race events ($30 nomination fee applies)
  • Attend official SMCWA practice sessions. (no nomination fee applies).
  • Entry to all SMCWA promoted Club and Premium events for two parent / guardian and junior member (member card must be presented)
  • Parents who are mechanics must have MA Crew License or entry to pits will be refused
  • Voting rights exercised by parent or guardian

  • Includes 2 Junior competitors, 2 parents/guardians and non-riding siblings under 16.

 WANT TO RACE? 

The Speedway Motorcycle Club looks forward to having new competitors and below is a guide on how to get started. You will need:

· Completed Club Membership Application Form (online) via Ridernet

· Junior riders:

  • aged 4 – 6 years require a ‘Mini’ Licence and allows the rider to participate in our non-competitive preprogram and practice days
  • Juniors (7-16 years) require a Junior National License and need to  complete the Junior Coaching Program  -5 hours KickStart coaching for first time license holders and completion of theory test before applying for the license. This allows riders to compete in Club, National and State events and practices.

· Seniors to be assessed by Licence Testing Officer club for licencing if you don’t hold a motorcycle license – please contact the Club to arrange.

Obtain your licence via Ridernet and further information is available on the Motorcycling Western Australia Licensing Tab

· Arrange Insurances – Ambulance and Accident Cover essential

· Suitable motorcycle and protective equipment which is scrutinized at each event prior to competing

Need a one-day licence whilst you set yourself up?

The club are only too happy to get you racing, or if you want to help out as a volunteer, we have many opportunities for you on race night or during the week maintaining the grounds.
